Through our creative learning workshops, literacy, numeracy and other core curricula subjects come alive for students. Our artist-educators can create and facilitate custom-made lessons. Students will dance, sing, paint, drum, act, write and create their way through engaging and relevant lessons. Communication through multi-media presentations, video, digital photography and image manipulation are now part of everyday life. Students will use these media art forms to explore language arts, maths, history and other core curricula. Your school’s or centre’s existing technology will be used for far more than just basic calculations and word processing. See past project for example projects. The NXG project believes that all young people, regardless of their ability, have the right to experience the creative arts.

We can provide workshops for young people who have disabilities, this also includes behavioural, learning and emotional difficulties. Rather than focusing on their limitations, our workshops are always focused on what participants can do, independence is encouraged wherever possible as being able to complete tasks on their own gives all participants a tremendous amount of satisfaction. Our special needs workshops cover a number of disciplines within: Drama, Dance, Music and Media.

Our workshops are designed to encourage inclusion and social integration; through these workshops aim to increase access to the creative arts for those with special needs and to enable the development of new skills and experiences.
