Every Child Matters
Every Child Matters: Change for Children is a new approach to the well-being of children and young people from birth to age 19.
The Government's aim is for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to:
- Be healthy
- Stay safe
- Enjoy and achieve
- Make a positive contribution
- Achieve economic well-being
Our organisation partners with schools, youth organisations, police and other voluntary groups – in order to share information and work together, to protect children and young people from harm and help them achieve what they want in life.
Our work also focuses particularly on improving outcomes through creative arts education and programs for looked-after children and children with special educational needs and disabilities and providing alternative ways of education and training through the creative arts for young people not in education, employment or training, as evidence shows clearly that educational achievement is the most effective route out of poverty.
