The Next Generation Project CIC is a provider of creative and multicultural arts to schools, colleges, theatres, youth centres and youth prisons throughout the UK. We offer outstanding arts instruction, fully facilitated projects and workshops through professional artists, as a way of bringing together young artists in schools and communities from diverse back-grounds and communities in a safe, supportive and positive environment. Our programmes are suitable for young people of all backgrounds and abilities and are delivered by skilled and professional facilitators. Our programmes are flexible and can be tailored to individual needs.
The NXG Project CIC, aims to help young people develop their creative skills and abilities in a safe and positive environment. Our objectives is to communicate the values of delivering youth led projects, working with partnership organizations, supporting professional youth art practice and delivering innovative and exciting projects & workshops. Within this our main aim is to involve young people in the entire process of creative arts productions i.e. music making, play writing, music and play directing, choreographing and publicising their own events, including handling the planning, management, technical side, etc.
Our projects and workshops are run in partnership with schools and colleges, bringing classroom ideas to fruition and developing skills in a ‘real life’ setting. This involves working with local musicians and distinguished individuals from related industries. Our projects and workshops provide young people with a range musical, theatrical and media related experiences to develop creative skills, enrich communication and build confidence.
Through our work we aim to help young people develop socially, artistically, increase self-esteem and peer respect, rather than peer pressure. We provide a positive and stimulating environment for young people that helps significantly in reducing the amount of bored teenagers loitering on street corners, which is not the most stimulating of environments. Instead, we provide a creative, relaxed area where they can work towards a common goal.
